This series does an exceptionally great job at capturing the intense moments and heart-wrenching scenarios that appear in the original book. The way it accurately captures the feelings, and style of the book is amazing, not only does it give you a visual on the heart-breaking novel, but it also allows you to relive the emotions felt while reading the book without getting let down by a possible lackluster movie/series. Overall, I would rate the series The Book Of Negroes a 7.8/10
